4.  Common Situations

Free Play

On ensures restart is at proper location

5 yard separation applies to players from both teams

On should notify keeper who has ball

Free Clear

whenever

Team was fouled on their defensive side & penalty time awarded

Attacking team was called for offside violation

Interference / crease violation when keeper has possession in crease

Beeper Responsibility

Bench Side for sideline OB; start when OB signal is done

Trail after time-served penalty; start after relay to table

Wing after goal is scored; start after FO official reaches X

Regular Substitutions following OB

Teams may request horn after officials signal

Timekeeper sounds horn upon valid request

Substitutions must complete before beeper sounds; signals “ready” when subs are done

No horn = quick restart

Quick Restarts

Within 5 seconds after officials are in position

If player flips ball away from restart location, penalty = delay

Inside Bench Wing Area

Move ball 5 yards away from sideline

Watch for players entering from substitution area
